ED510 Journey Week 10: Digital Citizenship Inquiry Project: Design for Impact

For this digital citizenship project, I focused on digital footprint and online reputation. One of the most interesting parts of this assignment was using Microsoft Forms to gather real responses and see how people actually think about their online behavior. While many respondents understood that employers and schools may review social media, several also admitted they had posted things they later regretted. That gap between awareness and action really stood out.

Creating the infographic helped me take those responses and turn them into a clear, visual message. The brain-shaped word cloud was especially meaningful because it represented the idea of thinking before posting, which was a common theme in the responses.

This topic connects directly to responsible and ethical technology use. Everything shared online can have long-term consequences, so it is important to be intentional. My advice to others would be simple: pause and think before posting, protect your information, and remember that your digital footprint can impact your future. My intended audience was students, which is why I kept the message straightforward and practical.
